Google Meet alternative

A Google Meet alternative that runs the agenda, not just the call.

Google Meet is a good, simple video call. Agendiq is a video call built around the agenda: every item has its own countdown, the layout changes with it, and people vote and add ideas from their phones.

Short answer

Agendiq is a Google Meet alternative for team meetings that need to end with decisions. Like Meet, it runs in the browser and guests join from a link with nothing to install. Unlike Meet, every agenda item has a countdown, the call changes layout with each item, and people vote from their phones. For plain free calls Meet is more generous (60 minutes for groups, 100 people); Agendiq Free gives 45 minutes of video with 6 on camera, and Pro removes the limit for $15 a month billed yearly.

Switch or stay

When to switch from Google Meet, and when not to.

Google Meet is free with any Google account, holds up to 100 people, and one-to-one calls have no time limit. It's built into Gmail and Google Calendar, and paid Google Workspace plans add recording, polls, Q&A, breakout rooms and much larger calls.

Switch to Agendiq if…

  • Your meetings run over because nobody can see how long each item has left.
  • You want check-ins, votes and ideas from phones without adding another app.
  • You want decisions and actions written down before people leave, with owners reminded afterwards.
  • You'd rather not record people just to keep track of what was agreed.

Stay with Google Meet if…

  • You need calls with more than 50 people, or recordings.
  • Your company runs on Google Workspace and Meet is already paid for.
  • Most of your calls are quick one-to-ones, which Meet's free plan doesn't time-limit.
  • You use breakout rooms.

The real difference

A call that keeps time for you.

In most video calls the hour looks the same from the first minute to the last: a grid of faces and whoever is sharing. In Agendiq each agenda item sets the call up for what it needs, and its countdown is on everyone's screen, so the meeting moves on without anyone playing timekeeper.

  1. 1UpdateThe speaker gets the spotlight, with the item's countdown beside them.
  2. 2DiscussEveryone is on screen, with a talk-balance view so quieter people get a turn.
  3. 3VoteEvery phone shows the question. The result appears on the shared screen, and answers stay anonymous.
  4. 4Wrap upDecisions and actions, with owners, go into the summary everyone gets after the call.

Moving from Google Meet

Switching takes one meeting.

  1. 01

    Plan the meeting

Describe it in a sentence or pick a template. Each item gets a kind, an owner and a few minutes.

  2. 02

    Send the invites

Each person gets their own link and a calendar entry for Google, Outlook or Apple. Change the time and their calendars follow.

  3. 03

    Run it live

Press Run live. People join in the browser, as they do with Meet, and the call follows the agenda.

Want slides too? Agendiq's interactive presentations have poll, quiz, word cloud, scale and ranking slides, answered from phones. They're part of Presentations Studio, included on Team.

Google Meet alternative questions

What is the best Google Meet alternative for team meetings?

If you just need a free video call, Meet is hard to beat. If your meetings overrun or end without clear decisions, a tool that runs the agenda helps more: Agendiq times every item, changes the call layout with it, takes votes from phones and ends with a summary of decisions and actions.

Is Google Meet free?

Yes. Checked on 2026-10-04: with a free Google account, calls with three or more people end after 60 minutes, with up to 100 people, and one-to-one calls have no time limit. Paid Google Workspace plans start with Business Starter at $8.40 a user a month on the Flexible plan.

Is there a free Google Meet alternative?

Agendiq's Free plan is free forever: video calls up to 45 minutes with 6 people on camera and 8 video hours a month, then a 10-minute audio wrap-up instead of a cut-off. Up to 50 more people can join from their phones to vote and add ideas. For plain calls with many people, Meet's free plan is more generous.

Does Agendiq record or transcribe calls?

Agendiq never records audio or video. What's kept is what the meeting produced: decisions, actions, notes, votes and ideas. If the host turns on Meeting Memory, which everyone in the meeting can see, the host's browser also keeps a text transcript so the team can search it later; it can be deleted, and it's off unless the host turns it on.

Can I keep using Google Meet with Agendiq?

Yes. Leave the built-in call off, run Agendiq on the shared screen in your Meet call, and people still vote and add ideas from their phones. Agendiq invites also add the meeting to Google Calendar.

How many people can join an Agendiq call?

6 people on camera on Free, 25 on Pro and 50 on Team, plus up to 50 on Free (more on paid plans) taking part from their phones. It's built for team meetings, not webinars.
