How to run it

  1. 1Replace the sample person (Jamie) with you: quick facts, three or four moments from your story, things you love and how you like to work.
  2. 2Write two true facts and one believable lie for the game. The best lies are ordinary; the best truths are surprising.
  3. 3Let the audience vote, reveal the lie on the next slide, and tell the story behind one of the truths.
  4. 4For students, cut the 'working with me' slide and keep the game. It works from about age 8 up.

Questions people ask

What should I put in an about me presentation?
Your name and where you're from, what you do or study, a few moments from your story, things you love, and one fun fact or game. For work, add how you like to work.
How long should an all about me presentation be?
Five to ten minutes and 8 to 12 slides. Leave a couple of minutes for questions.
How do I make a self-introduction presentation fun?
Add a game, such as two truths and a lie, and let the audience vote on their phones. Tell the story behind one fact rather than listing them all.
