Q3 financial results

Revenue, margin, spending, cash and the outlook

Title

In short

A finance presentation reports financial results to colleagues, leaders or a board: revenue, margin, spending against budget, cash and the outlook. This 14-slide template leads with a one-line headline, gives each number a chart and a line of commentary, and checks the room's confidence in the forecast live.

  14. 14Questions and next steps

How to run it

  1. 1Replace every sample figure with your own. Keep the headline slide to one sentence a non-finance colleague could repeat.
  2. 2Walk through the charts in order: revenue, where the money went, budget against actual, then cash.
  3. 3Use the poll to let the room pick which number to dig into, instead of guessing what they care about.
  4. 4End with the confidence scale. A low average is your cue to explain the forecast's assumptions again.

Questions people ask

How do you present financial results?
Lead with a one-sentence headline, then show revenue, margin, spending against budget and cash, each with a simple chart and a line saying why it moved. Put the detail in an appendix.
What should be in a financial presentation?
A headline, key figures, revenue trend, where the money went, budget against actual, cash and runway, the outlook and the main risks.
How do you present finance to non-finance people?
Use fewer numbers, round them, and say what each one means for the team. One chart per slide and plain words like 'cash' instead of acronyms help most.
