Title

In short

A pitch deck is a short presentation founders use to raise money: problem, solution, why now, market, traction, business model, competition, team and the ask. This template gives you those ten core slides, plus a rehearsal round where advisors score clarity, rank the weakest slide and post the questions investors will ask.

How to run it

  1. 1Fill the ten core slides first. Each should make one point you could say in a sentence.
  2. 2Replace every sample number with your numbers, and keep the detail in an appendix or data room.
  3. 3Rehearse with advisors or friendly founders: they join on their phones for the practice round, rate clarity, rank the weakest slide and post the questions investors will ask. Pair it with the fundraising pitch prep agenda to time each run-through.
  4. 4Delete the practice-round slides before you send the deck or pitch to investors.

Questions people ask

What should a pitch deck include?
Problem, solution, why now, market size, traction, business model, competition, team and the ask with use of funds. Keep detail for an appendix.
How many slides should a pitch deck have?
About 10 to 12 for the pitch itself. More detail can go in an appendix or data room that investors read afterwards.
How do you prepare for investor questions?
Rehearse with people who'll be honest, collect every question they ask, and write a two-sentence answer for each. The practice round in this deck collects those questions on their phones.
