In short

An open house sign in sheet records who visited a home for sale so the agent can follow up. This kit replaces the clipboard with a QR code: visitors sign in on their phones, rate the asking price anonymously, and you get an attendee list, the price feedback and a ready-made follow-up email.

What's in the kit

By the end of this meeting, every visitor is signed in, we have honest feedback on price and the home, and the seller gets a clear update the same day. The full agenda is drawn to scale above: every block has its own timer when you run it live.

The follow-up email

Subject

Thanks for visiting [address]

Hi,

Thanks for coming to the open house at ______ today.

A few details you might want:
Asking price: ______
Bedrooms / bathrooms: ______
Lot size and square footage: ______
HOA or other fees: ______
Schools: ______

If you'd like a private showing, the disclosures or a list of recent sales nearby, just reply to this email.

If you're already working with an agent, please pass this on to them.

______ (agent name, brokerage, phone)

How to run it

  1. 1Before the day, turn on 'Ask for name' and set 'Ask for email' to optional. Visitors who scan the QR code are signed in with the time they arrived.
  2. 2Print the QR code large and put it at the entrance with a short line: 'Sign in here, it takes 10 seconds.'
  3. 3Keep the price question running for the whole open house. Answers are anonymous, so visitors are more honest than they'd be to your face.
  4. 4After closing, read the attendee list and the price split together, then call the seller the same day.
  5. 5Send the follow-up only to visitors who chose to leave an email, and respect any request to stop.

Questions people ask

What should an open house sign in sheet ask for?
Name, email or phone, and whether the visitor is working with an agent. Keep it short; long forms put people off. Make contact details optional and only follow up with people who gave them.
How do you get honest feedback at an open house?
Ask one simple, anonymous question, such as how the price feels. People rarely criticize a home to the agent's face but will answer privately on their phone.
What should be on an open house checklist?
Lights on, blinds open, comfortable temperature, valuables and medications put away, signs out, feature sheets printed, and a clear sign-in point at the door.
