The full thank-you wall is in the summary below.

Thank you to our color guard, our guest speaker [name], and everyone who helped organize the program.

How to run it

  1. 1Invite local veterans personally, along with a color guard and a guest speaker, at least three weeks ahead.
  2. 2Brief everyone on when to stand: for the colors, the Pledge, the anthem and Taps.
  3. 3Guests sign in by QR. Veterans can add their branch, which helps you plan the recognition.
  4. 4Open the thank-you wall after the recognition and read a few messages aloud. Share the full wall with the veterans afterwards.
  5. 5For Memorial Day, keep the tone of remembrance: honor those who died in service, and pause for the National Moment of Remembrance at 3 p.m. local time if your program runs then.
