How to run it

  1. 1Write a short project brief first: goal, why now, scope, milestones. Fill the slides from it.
  2. 2Ask the sponsor to open with why the project matters, in their own words.
  3. 3Fill the RACI board live. Each deliverable gets exactly one Accountable name.
  4. 4Collect risks on phones, agree the first milestone and take the confidence vote. Low confidence means a conversation now, not later.
  5. 5Send the recap with the one-page charter the same day and ask for corrections by a date.

Questions people ask

What should a kickoff presentation include?
The goal in one sentence, why now, what's in and out of scope, milestones, roles, how the team will work, and the main risks. Leave time for questions.
What is a project charter?
A short document that authorizes a project and records its goal, scope, milestones, sponsor, roles, risks and how the team will work. A good one fits on a page.
What is a RACI chart?
A table showing who is Responsible, Accountable, Consulted and Informed for each deliverable. The key rule: exactly one Accountable person per deliverable.
