15 minute timer questions
How do I start a 15 minute timer?
Press Start, or the space bar. The 15 minutes count down in big digits and the time left shows in your browser tab, so you can switch to other work and still see it.
How long should a break be in a workshop?
Fifteen minutes is the usual length for a morning or afternoon break. Announce the time you restart, not only the length, and start again when the timer chimes.
Does the 15 minute timer make a sound?
Yes, a soft two-note chime at zero, made in your browser without any audio files. Turn it off with the bell button. It still chimes on time in a background tab, because the sound is scheduled when you press Start.
Can I show it full screen?
Yes. Press F or the full screen button and the digits fill the screen, big enough for a whole room. Escape takes you back.
Do I need to sign up or install anything?
No. The timer is free and runs in your browser on a laptop, tablet or phone. No account, no email, no download.
