Monday · Spot it, report it
Tuesday · Slips, trips and falls
Wednesday · Lifting and carrying
Thursday · In an emergency (exits and assembly point walk)
Friday · Fatigue and wellbeing, then awards at ______

Our slogan shortlist (top votes): ______

Award nominations close on ______. Send names and why to ______.
Awards: Safety champion · Best near-miss report · Best safety idea · Team of the week

Thank you for looking out for each other.

How to run it

  1. 1Swap the five daily topics for your site's biggest risks if they're different, and replace the assembly point question.
  2. 2Run the kickoff on Monday, then open the deck at each day's section for a 10-minute huddle the rest of the week.
  3. 3Collect slogans on the board and let everyone dot-vote. Put the top slogans in Friday's poll.
  4. 4Hand out the awards on Friday in front of the whole team. Recognition is what people remember.
  5. 5If you run it in June, link it to National Safety Month, run by the National Safety Council in the US.

Questions people ask

What are good safety week ideas?
One topic a day with a short huddle, a slogan contest with a team vote, near-miss reporting drives, an emergency exit walk, and awards for people who look out for others.
When is National Safety Month?
June, in the US. It's run by the National Safety Council, and many organizations hold their safety week during it.
How do you keep a safety week engaging?
Keep each day short and interactive. Phone polls, a slogan vote and real recognition get more attention than long presentations.
